Companies and employees - we need you!

After Adoption offers a variety of fundraising opportunities and can work in partnership to ensure mutual benefit. Here are just a few of the ways you can get involved:

Charity of the year

This is an opportunity for us to build a partnership where you can make and witness the real difference achieved by extending our services. Making us Charity of the Year gives your staff pride in working for an employer who values the wider community and is committed to making a social impact.

Collection boxes

Spare change adds up and if you can put a collection box where your staff and/or customers see it, you can help us to raise valuable funds. It’s also a very public way of showing your commitment to helping improve the lives of everyone affected by adoption.

Employee fundraising

Challenge your teams to raise much needed funds. This is great for team building activities and benefits us too! Perhaps you could do a dress-up day or co-ordinate a cake sale, hosting your very own Bake Off!

Christmas Jumper Day

We’ve encouraged organisations to support our Christmas Jumper Day for years. It’s a fun and festive way to celebrate the season and makes a difference to the lives of people affected by adoption. You suggest a donation in your workplace then get collecting. Some places also set up a penalty payment for not wearing festive threads! We encourage you to share your best photos via social media so we can share the good work you’re doing.

Team building

People go to amazing lengths to support us and challenge themselves. What better way to get your teams working together? We have guaranteed places in running events, including the London Marathon and Vitality London 10000. Or you could take part in our very own Regent’s Park 10k race, with everyone running to support After Adoption. There are other challenges you could get involved with, such as zip sliding, parachuting and abseiling, depending on how daring you are!

Host an event

Organise an event to raise funds for After Adoption and raise the profile of your organisation at the same time. This could be a dinner dance, gig, or even afternoon tea. It’s a great way for staff to bring their passions and talents into work.

Payroll Giving

Payroll Giving is a scheme that enables your employees to give to After Adoption straight from their gross salary (before tax is deducted), and to receive immediate tax relief.

Payroll Giving generates a regular, reliable income stream to help safeguard the future of our work. It is quick and easy to set up and administer, has virtually no set up costs and all modern payroll systems can handle the donations systems. You only need to have one employee to set up the scheme. If you’re interested in setting up Payroll Giving, or if you already have it set up and would like to donate to After Adoption, please get in touch.

Online shopping

This is the easiest way to raise valuable funds without having to donate anything. Sign up as an individual, or a business, to these schemes and for every online purchase you make we’ll receive a donation. There are thousands of retailers included in the scheme, such as Amazon, John Lewis and ebay, some paying over 10% to After Adoption when you make a purchase. Signing up as a company, or encouraging your staff to sign up, can make a difference without any cost to you. If your company buys things like stationery, train tickets or even plan tickets, you can raise funds for After Adoption without it costing you a penny more.

Raise a commission for After Adoption every time you shop or search online with Savoo (plus they have discount vouchers), buy games from Humble Bundle, sell unwanted items at ebay, and shop online with Give as you Live.
