SafeBase for Schools is a training package for schools to help their staff effectively support adopted pupils, and those in care, to reach their potential. It provides practical strategies for support and can be delivered flexibly over a half-day, full day or twilight session. Staff learn about attachment difficulties and early life neglect and abuse and how this shapes the brain, the child’s response to stress and learning capacity. The focus is on increasing competency and confidence in supporting these children, so they are able to progress and achieve.
