The 10K was not the only race of the day, with the charity teaming up with Micro Scooters Ltd to encourage children to ‘Scoot for After Adoption’. The charity scoot was open to children aged 3-11 and saw 28 children take part in three different races – depending on age – with distances covered varying between 200m and 1km.
Sincere thanks go to all who made the event possible: Tall Stories - the race organisers, the Adoption Events Committee, our sponsors - Up and Running, DST Global Solutions, Micro Scooters, Iceland2go.com, Aveda, Eat Natural and Vitamin Water, all those who volunteered as marshalls, and of course all those who entered the race.
Ges Payne is the official race photographer. Photos from the event will be available to buy from his website www.gespayne.com. A proportion of the cost will be donated to After Adoption.
