Work with us to reach more people

We are the largest independent provider of adoption support services in England and Wales. Currently we employ around 100 staff in offices throughout the North West, North East, South and West Wales, and London. In 1997 we were recognised as an Investor in People, an award we still proudly retain.

We provide independent information and support to anyone affected by adoption – adopted people, birth families, adoptive families and professionals. Therefore many of our work opportunities are for social care professional roles, such as social workers, counsellors and psychotherapists. However, there are a whole range of other functions and services that support our work such as administration, fundraising, communications, human resources and management.

Working for After Adoption can be a challenging and rewarding experience. In addition to offering you opportunities and variety in your work, you can expect excellent induction and training, ongoing professional support and management guidance.

Our annual leave entitlement is 25 days plus public holidays and we also offer access to a no obligation contributory stakeholder pension scheme with an additional contribution from After Adoption.

Our recruitment policies and procedures reflect best practice around employment legislation, as well as safeguarding children and vulnerable adults who access our services.

You can also volunteer for us.
