Key achievements of After Adoption 2008/09
After Adoption was founded in Manchester in 1990. We have made tremendous progress over the last fifteen years and are proud of our achievements; but there remains much more to be done.
- We collaborated with 11 other agencies and organisations in providing and developing services
- Held 2 fundraising events, had 19 people do a challenge or run for us and 183 people attend our events, all raising over £28,000
- 30% more people were interested in adoption via our Families that Last service
- There was a 13% increase in birth relatives requesting our services
- A 24% increase in professionals contacting our ActionLine
- Calls to our ActionLine increased by a total of 5%
- We work in more than a quarter of local authorities in England and over half in Wales
- We delivered a total of 418 training days to staff
- We recieved 99% positive feedback from staff
- Our volunteers gave a total of 13, 440 hours of their time
