Interim Team Manager - Families that Lastlisamassey@afteradoption.org.uk
Within the development of my career, I have always worked with children and their families and have thoroughly enjoyed every role I have undertaken. I initially qualified as a nursery nurse in 1999 before progressing into family support work and subsequently training to become a social worker.
I completed a four year trainee programme which involved a number of placement and work experience opportunities and I obtained my BA (Hons) in social work studies in 2012. I also worked on a busy Child Protection team for 3 years before starting with After Adoption.
I initially joined the Families that Last team as a Family Placement Social Worker – undertaking assessments of prospective adopters and supporting them through their adoption journey. I am currently in the position of Interim Team Manager and I am enjoying supporting the team in providing a high quality service to everyone we work with and support.
