Breaking the Cycle

Understanding the past to shape the future.

Breaking the Cycle is a programme that provides intensive support to birth mothers who have lost a child to adoption in the Midlands.

It is a therapeutic programme including one to one and group support, helping birth mothers to understand the past and make positive choices for their future.

The programme aims to encourage birth mothers to take back control of their lives and increase self-confidence.

It is voluntary and birth mothers have the choice to work with us. Working in partnership with us, they will be supported by a professional team, as well as other birth mothers with similar experiences.

To find out more about the programme, birth mothers in the MIdlands can refer themselves or be referred by a local authority, independent of voluntary service.

Call our ActionLine on 0800 0 568 578 or email actionline@afteradoption.org.uk for more information.
