Fundraising administrators and event supporters


Location: Head Office, Manchester
Hours: At least one day per week

This is an ideal opportunity for individuals wishing to gain valuable experience and who can work creatively to make things happen. With supervision from our Senior Fundraiser, you will gain experience in administration, information management, monitoring/ evaluation and stewardship.

We are looking for volunteers who can commit to at least 1 day per week, hours worked flexibly and occasionally remotely and are:

Organised: There might be a few different tasks we’ll need your help with

Confident: You will need you to be comfortable and happy with approaching others

Enthusiastic: You will be helping to spread the word about After Adoption and our work

Tenacious: You will be persistent and determined in achieving our fundraising targets

Skills you may already have:

  • Interest in voluntary sector and fundraising
  • experience in using Microsoft Office packages
  • experience in using email
  • experience in using the internet for researching
  • excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with others and work flexibly as part of a team
  • ability to prioritise and organise work
  • able to work alone from time to time

Skills you may be looking to improve

  • running mail merges
  • using databases
  • customer care
  • project management
  • research and methodology
  • knowledge and understanding of charity fundraising practices and processes
  • Direct or indirect experience of adoption

In return After Adoption will reimburse your travel expenses along lunch expenses of up to £5 per day.
