Statement on Adoption Support

Adoption has a lifelong impact on everyone involved – the adopted child, adoptive family and the child’s birth family. We know from our service users how important support is for all these people, and have developed a range of support services.

  • We believe that all affected by adoption have a right to a minimum level of support, both at the time of the adoption and should they need it at different stages in life.
  • We believe that this support to all parties provides a clear benefit to the adopted child as they grow up. It helps them deal with the difference adoption brings and take advantage of the opportunities it affords.
