NEW Adoption Support Services Launched

After Adoption lead the way in Adoption Support Services as the largest provider in the UK. We work with all parties affected by adoption and listen to what they tell us, co-producing services which effectively meet their needs. This week we are launching two new programmes that will benefit adoptive families.

SafeBase for Schools

This innovative programme has been developed to help schools effectively support young adopted pupils. Teaching staff will come away understanding the challenges adopted children face and have practical strategies to help these children reach their full potential in the classroom, bridging the academic achievement gap between adopted and non-adopted children.

SafeBase in the Teenage Years

This is a new follow up training programme for those who have already attended the SafeBase Therapeutic Parenting Programme. This programme provides additional support to adoptive parents whose children are now teenagers and the new challenges this brings.

Battling substance abuse, Natalie was struggling to deal with her children's adoption
Tracey began volunteering on our helpline in June 2009
I needed help in arranging direct contact with my daughter's birth grandmother
Jack has been volunteering for After Adoption since 2002
